Wet Day Gym Session

Yesterday, as usual at this time of year it was raining...

However we didn't let this ruin our training and we headed off to a gym just outside of town called 'Ringside gym'.

I arrived there about 4pm with Ben and begun warming up. The warm up started off with a quick 5 minute run on the treadmill, a quick go on the rowing machine and then me and Ben headed into the spare room and set up a little run with some mats.

The run consisted of - A cat leap to a pillar which was circular and about 10 cm wide -
Spin around this pillar and cat to precision - Jump to some plastic things - finishing with a vault to precision.

After a good half an hour of drilling this run, becoming more confident every time we felt warmed up, so we then headed into the machine room to do some muscle work. In here i mostly concentrated on my upper body for now.

After some of these exercises, Ben got a text from Danny to say he was on his way. Danny then arrived about 15 minutes later and began warming up in the spare room. Me and Ben then headed back with him to do some more movement training and then Jack and Tom turned up.

We then drilled our run a few more times then started practicing a kash across the pile of mats. The mats were around 6ft in length, at first this kash was hard for me but as i got more confident i found it easier and began moving it into a kong which i never confidently got but next time im sure i will with practice.

Danny however was finding it hard to kash these mats and doesn't have the best of confidence. However aftera bit of mental support he was attempting it which is a start to everything and he was nearly getting it. Seriously his legs were touching the mat on the last minute so he just needs that bit of a push and he would do it.

Also Danny learned a Dash vault which improved his confidence and it is one of the best dash vaults ive ever seen form a new learner. The technique was perfect as he passed over the mats length ways.

Overall the gym session ment alot of work and improvement and were all acheing. Well done to Danny whos confidence is improving steadily. Keep training mate you inspire me ;-)
